MILE 11. FIRST PLACE. THEN IT ALL FELL APART.
In 2013, Hunter McIntyre quit his job to go all-in as a pro runner. He trained for the Spartan World Championships — nearly 4 hours of running, 7,000ft of climbing, 50 obstacles. At mile 11 of 13, he was in first place. Then he bonked. Poor nutrition lost the race. That painful moment became the reason BLDR Sports exists.
